The Rice-Fish Co-culture System in Fangshan Township, Qingtian County, is among the first Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) designated by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO). Grounded in this legacy, our project aims to champion and reinforce the world-class civilizational status of Fangshan’s agricultural practices.

Simultaneously, the design seamlessly weaves into and enriches the existing village fabric, establishes a resilient spatial system adaptable to multi-scenario dynamics, and profoundly strengthens the region’s ecological dimension.
