This master planning project envisions a century-long transformation aimed at restoring the region through a symbiotic approach.

The design's core strategies include de-urbanization, the ecological restoration of Jianhu Lake alongside the revitalization of its public spaces, and comprehensive urban renewal. Furthermore, the project prioritizes the preservation and reinforcement of local villages, proposing the creation of a new, canal-integrated city to effectively contain and manage urban sprawl.
